Every year, contaminated air and water cause millions of preventable illnesses worldwide. UV disinfection technology has been around for decades, but it has remained too large, too expensive, and too inefficient to reach the places that need it most. At UV Log, we believe it’s time to change that.
The Problem with Current UV Technology
Traditional UV disinfection systems are designed for industrial-scale facilities — water treatment plants, hospital HVAC systems, and large-scale food processing operations. They’re effective, but they require significant infrastructure, high energy consumption, and dedicated maintenance. For the billions of people without access to clean water or air filtration, these systems might as well not exist.
Our Approach: 2x the Efficiency, a Fraction of the Size
UV Log is developing next-generation ultraviolet disinfection systems that deliver 2x the efficiency of current UV technology in a form factor small enough to fit in the palm of your hand. Our patented design, built on decades of photonics engineering expertise, achieves the disinfection capacity of industrial-scale systems while dramatically reducing size and energy requirements.
New Applications, New Possibilities
This breakthrough in miniaturization and efficiency opens entirely new applications: portable air purification for homes, offices, and vehicles; point-of-use water treatment for communities without infrastructure; and compact disinfection systems for food processing, healthcare, and transport. Clean air and water should not be a privilege — and now, the technology exists to make sure it’s not.
Stay tuned for more updates as we prepare our first air purification prototype and move toward commercialization.
